The San Nicolas Water District ( SANIWAD ) was organized and created on October 5, 1985, pursuant to Presidential Decree 198, as amended other known as the Provincial Water Utilities Act of 1973. A Certificate of Conformance ( CCC ) No. 255 was awarded by the Local Water Utilities Administration ( LWUA ) on November 7, 1985.

As of this time, SANIWAD have five (5) sources of water, two steel elevated tank and three generator sets for used during peak hour and brown-out our respectively. The SANIWAD served twenty five barangays and keeping on extending water service to other neighboring barangays clamoring for the water service.

Our simplified mission is to supply potable, enough and affordable water to the whole municipality. Our vision is to improve and develop the system facilities.
